The importance of regular skin checks

Regular checks give you a good chance of spotting the signs of sun damage before they become serious.

Regular checks will help you to get to know your own skin and gain a greater understanding of what is normal on your skin and what is not, which will help you identify any new or changing areas of your skin.

We all know Australia has a very high incidence of melanomas and skin cancers.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO A ‘SKIN CLINIC’.

As your family doctors we are experienced and equipped to assess and if needed remove most types of skin cancers and lumps.  We do so in our small theatre with qualified nurses to assist.

If you have a history of childhood or teenage sunburn or have been or are in an outdoor occupation then regular skin checks are essential.

It is best for you to book a specific skin check appointment with your doctor so that we have the time to give your skin a thorough examination. Please do not wear makeup to your appointment and be prepared to undress to your underwear.  It is much better to have a a regular skin check than the possibility of developing a skin cancer.  So book now!!
